FAQ

About this checklist.

Do I need labs before starting?

It depends on what you are considering. For some fitness, strength & recovery treatments, clinicians usually order bloodwork first, and the labs our sources list are under Labs to ask about. Your clinician decides what you need.

What if my clinician says no?

That is a normal outcome of a good visit. Ask what they would suggest instead and why, and add their reasoning as a note in My Journal so it is there next time.

Can I bring this list to a telehealth visit?

Yes. Print it, or keep it open beside the video call. A telehealth clinician works through the same questions as one in a clinic.

Does the checklist save?

Your ticks are saved in this browser only, next to My Journal. Nothing is sent to DiscoverMedica, and clearing your browser data clears them.

Does it sync with My Journal?

Yes. Anything already in My Journal is ticked under Read up on it automatically, and Add these to My Journal puts the Start here items on your list.

Why are some items marked Start here?

They can be obtained lawfully in the US and have strong or moderate human evidence for the uses people look them up for. It is a reading order, not a recommendation.

Why are research-only items on the list?

Because people ask about them. They are there so you understand what they are and why a clinician may say no. DiscoverMedica never links to anyone selling them.

Does this tell me what to take?

No. It is a list of things to learn about and to ask, and it publishes no doses. Only a licensed clinician who knows your history can decide what is right for you.

How current is this?

The compounds on this checklist were last checked on October 7, 2026. Every compound page lists its sources and the date they were checked.

Can I print it?

Yes. Print my checklist lays it out as tick boxes on paper, with the ticks you have made included.

One list for the whole plan. Add these to My Journal.

My Journal keeps the questions with each item, ready to print or share.
